Your questions, answered.

You must turn off your phone once you get in the car.

Or place it in airplane mode. This takes less time than buckling your seatbelt and is just as important of a habit — if not more. .

Even if you aren’t using your phone, it should still be turned off

Sentinel Pro detects any cellphone signal inside of the car, regardless of whether a phone is actually being used. Drivers will receive audio alerts if their phone is not turned off or placed in airplane mode.

You can still make emergency calls.

Ideally you would be able to pull over in a safe place to make an emergency call. If you need to place a call while driving, however, Sentinel Pro will not affect it — but it will detect the activity and sound alerts as usual.

Can passengers use cellphones? You get to decide..

Sentinel Pro provides Employers / Fleet Managers with the option to authorize passenger phone use or not. Because your Employee will be driving alone the vast majority of the time, the default setting is for no phone use. Sentinel gives Fleet Managers a quick two-touch way to authorize passenger use.   Audio alerts will not go off if a passenger is authorized for cellphone use.
